What is Obagi NU-CIL Eyelash Enhancing Serum?
One of the newest additions to the Obagi range, the NU-CIL lash serum has been formulated to support the appearance of denser, fuller and more voluminous looking lashes. It has been designed to specifically target the lash cycle's growth phase and uses a combination of four key nourishing ingredients that will continue to deliver increasingly impressive results.
The lash growth cycle can be impacted by a variety of different factors, including levels of stress, hormones, and the natural ageing process impacting lash pigment, condition and volume.
How Does the Obagi NU-CIL Eyelash Enhancing Serum Work?
To properly explain how the serum works, we first need to delve into the eyelash life cycle. The eyelash life cycle has three distinct phases including the anagen phase during which lashes fully develop.
The serum specifically targets this growth phase to give the lashes a hit of nourishment with a special formulation of key ingredients. Biotin has been shown to support the production of keratin, which will encourage the development of fuller and thicker lashes. Sodium hyaluronate offers additional moisture and panthenol helps to condition lashes and enhance shine. Finally, a proprietary liquid compound offers additional support for the development of fuller-looking lashes.
What Can I Expect from the Obagi NU-CIL Eyelash Enhancing Serum?
Clinical trials monitored the use of the serum over a 16-week period and found that more than 90% of participants reported seeing visible improvements, and 89% of participants noted that their eyelashes looked thicker and more densely packed. Results can often be seen in just 8 weeks, with more pronounced results becoming apparent at 16 weeks.
The serum can be easily incorporated into your current skin care routine. After cleansing in the evening, apply a thin layer to the upper lash line. The product will dry in 90 seconds, after which you can carry on with the rest of your routine.
Are There Any Precautions Associated with Obagi NU-CIL Eyelash Enhancing Serum?
When applying, it is important to take care not to get any of the serum in your eyes. If this does occur, rinse immediately with cold water to mitigate the development of redness, itching or irritation.
Like many eyelash serums, Obagi NU-CIL may cause some skin discolouration which may not be reversible. Additionally, the serum could also cause increased levels of brown pigmentation in the iris, which is unlikely to be reversible but is no more than a cosmetic alteration.
